The huge building at 53 Broadway is now leasing apartments and the retail on the bottom floor. It looks done, although the web site says it will be completed in 2014. Aptsandlofts is handling the residential rentals; nine are now on the market, ranging from $2215 a month to $4,246 a month for studio, one- and two-bedrooms. The building has 72 units, which feature stone countertops, eat-in kitchens, and washer/dryers in each apartment. There is also a common rooftop and a yoga room in addition to the usual gym. This sleepy part of Williamsburg is slowly coming alive; if the hotel down the street gets built, it could be teeming, much like the waterfront area where the Edge is now. The architect is Kutnicki Bernstein Architects. Click through to the jump to see floor plans for one- and two-bedroom units.
