The lottery is now open for the second batch of affordable units in the sprawling Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park mega-development, and the range of rents and incomes is wide. The 297 apartments are located at CookFox Architects’ leafy 535 Carlton Avenue, a 100 percent affordable building still under construction between Pacific and Dean streets in Prospect Heights.

There are 66 studios, 129 one-bedrooms, 87 two-bedrooms and 15 three-bedrooms in the 18-story structure, whose rendering shows a facade bedecked with cascades of greenery. The building also houses underground parking, shops and a terrace.

For an additional fee, residents can access a fitness center, lounge, bike storage and children’s play room. The building is smoke free, and many units have sweeping view of Prospect Heights and beyond.

The range of rents and incomes is capacious. The studios rent for $548 to $2,137 a month to single-person households making between $20,126 and $104,775 annually. The one-bedrooms rent for $589 to $2,680 a month to one- to two-person households making between $21,566 and $119,625 annually.

As for the bigger units, two-bedrooms rent for $713 to $3,223 a month to two- to four-person households making between $25,852 and $149,490 annually. And, finally, the three-bedrooms rent for $817 to $3,716 a month to three- to six-person households making between $29,863 and $173,415 annually.

Architect firm CookFox is also handling Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park’s market-rate condo tower at 550 Vanderbilt Avenue. The developer is, of course, Greenland Forest City Partners — the partnership responsible for much of the 22-acre development that comprises Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park.

The building’s construction kicked off in December 2014. Prior to the construction of 535 Carlton and neighboring 550 Vanderbilt, the lot was home to an old warehouse that was demolished in 2014.

The lottery is accepting applications through September 15.

A percentage of units will be set aside for mobility-disabled applicants and vision- or hearing-disabled applicants. Preference will be given to residents of Community Boards 2, 3, 6 and 8 as well as municipal employees. Current New York City residents receive a general preference.
