huron-pier-east-river-062413Here’s a listing you don’t see every day: Massey Knakal is marketing a property in the East River along the Greenpoint waterfront. The site of a former pier, the Huron Pier, the parcel is literally under water. Located at the end of Huron Street, it’s also next door to the East River Ferry (at the end of India Street), so “the lot presents a unique opportunity for waterfront development” as the listing put it. Oh, and the price? $2,500,000.

  1. easiest way to make money here is driving range with floating patch of grass so golfers can try their luck on their short game. Collecting the balls would be tricker as you would need underwater netting and also vertical netting. Still a moneymaker if anything. Install a bar and restaurant and you’re golden.
