A tipster pointed us to this big sale in Crown Heights: The three-family townhouse at 1171 Dean Street, between Bedford and Nostrand avenues, just closed for $1,225,000. Earlier this summer a bunch of $1 million-plus homes went on the market in the area. This was was listed FSBO for $1,250,000. Back in 2008, the home was asking $595,000; Streeteasy shows it sold for $361,000. What a turnover!

  1. I know it does. That still does not change the fact that the house next door to this one is a boarded up, constantly broken in to, drug user flop house. I’ve called 911 many times to report this house and it does no good. There is also massive structural damage to that adjoining house. It was condemned some years back and was supposed to be torn down. It had the paperwork attached to the door until the door was kicked in by crackheads who moved in. There are so many beautiful homes in the neighborhood but this was not a good purchase.
