The Queens Council on the Arts is showing an art exhibit, “Portraits of Long Island City” by painter Eric March at the Greater Astoria Historical Society through November 17th. March is a recipient of the 2013 Queens Arts Fund DCA GNYADF Grant for Individual Artists and this is his culminating project. The paintings and drawings all depict cityscape scenes of western Queens. The gallery, at 35-20 Broadway, is open Mondays and Wednesday 2 pm to 5 pm, Saturdays 12 pm to 5 pm, and also by appointment.
