Hi East New York,

I HAVE been to Brownsville. I'm just saying imagine if you were to build the same building in Flushing, and everyone in the rendering was chinese. True, Flushing has a population of mostly Chinese people. But still, don't you think it's a little weird?

Isn't it a little weird that in the architectural rendering, the only people in front of the building are african american? Doesn't that make way too many assumptions?

The drinks are HUGE. One martini was the size of a swimming pool. BUT -- the food ain't that great. Pretty much everything is reheated in the microwave.

I love this place. It isn't byob any more. The food is excellent. Best thai in Brooklyn in my opinion. The only other Thai restaurant in the city which rivals it is sarai papai in queens.

Yes, I walk through the park to the Q train (Prospect Park stop) IT's about 15 minutes through the park, which is a great way to start the day.

Mckenzie I suggest you move to Cleveland anyway.

I live in the building next door. It's a great location, right across from the lake. The building is a handsome one. Best neighborhood in Brooklyn, IMHO. And the quietest.

It matches everything else that's being built on 4th avenue. FUGLY

I'm telling you, you want delicious Italian at decent prices, go to newly opened Scalino on 7th Ave and 10th street. BYOB.

It's excellent.

THe food was fine but overpriced, and it has a kind of obnoxious wall street frat boy atmosphere. IT's loud too.

However, that said, Blue Ribbon Sushi next door is EXCELLENT.

I went for brunch, and I thought it was very mediocre and the service was sub par considering the high prices

The food here is totally lousy. Had a really wormy nicoise salad with a piece of tuna that had the texture of an old shoe. AVOID!

Only been there for lunch, but it's excellent, with a great outdoor garden

I liked it but the service was kind of irritating. Too much butter and cream too.
But I'm going to plug my new face here:

scalino
347 seventh avenue in brooklyn. Excellent down to earth italian. Delicious friendly and unpretentious. Bring your own wine/ beer until they get their liquor license
