Free Pavers

Hi everyone,

We have somewhere between 40-60 sq ft of 1.5'x1.5' concrete pavers. None are broken and they're in good shape. One side looks like a brick patter, the other side is smooth, you could use either side up. These would be great for someone who wants to make a cheap patio in the back yard.

Please post here if you want them. Pick up only, they're relatively heavy.

In Search of Bricks

Hi, I am looking for real bricks, preferably old ones. I can pick them up, I can dig them out of the ground, etc. Broken bricks are OK but would prefer some full ones as well. I'm in Clinton Hill and have a minivan so I can pick up from other neighborhoods. Thanks!

i don't know how to post photos but take a look at this link:

the pavers are basket weave like those, and they're reddish in color, cast in concrete. the other side is smooth.

lots in this neighborhood were going for 30,000 range at auction in '05. i don't think 76,000 sounds that crazy, but i don't think they're easy to find any more.

i don't think our CSA price is too much lower, just the quality is better and fresher. it's hard for me to compare right now though because i don't really know the prices at the supermarket. also with our vegetable share we get a fruit share which right now i'm thinking might be a bad deal.

i'm not positive but inspector for boiler will probably only inspect boiler/plumbing stuff, probably not a guy who will look at construction.

If you put a Hoagie or Meatball Sandwich shop in one of the restored Admiral's Row houses then I'm sure Marty would back this plan in a hearbeat.
