A good 203K mortgage guy is Shawn Meller at Chase- he is knowledgeable and honest. You are smart not to use Aphonso Gill. Alphonso gill has in the past stolen his client's renovation money for Christ's sake! A complete criminal.

Alphonso Gill I heard was fired from Wells Fargo because of so many complaints. He was running a scam with his clients by referring them to a few contractors, who would charge the clients thousands of dollars more and give Gill the kickback. A complete criminal this guy. Steer clear of him. I heard he was scamming old people. You were right to not trust him. good for you.

I tried refinancing my 3 family about a year ago and was referred to Alphonso Gill at Wells Fargo. What a freakin' nightmare. The guy lies about everything. Impossible to get an answer from him, he asked me to wire money to his contractor for him in exchange for a good deal on painting. I heard he got fired. Anyone has got to be better than Mr. Alphonso Gill.

I can definately say that Alphonso Gill is NOT to be trusted. He makes his living bilking his clients out of money by kickbacks from his title firms, etc. You will not close on time, you will be surprised with fees not disclosed at closing. Gill is a sociopath and patholigical liar... who needs that? Call a reputable bank. I heard Alphonso Gill was fired from Wells Fargo and then fired again from another bank. Stay away from him!

If you search Brownstoner, there is a wealth of information about Alphonso Gill. He is really bad, and he did get fired last year. He's with a new bank though. Buyer beware.
