Spray Paint a Basement
Hello All,
I am looking for someone to spray paint our basement with an industrial paint sprayer (since it is a large surface). Any recommendations for such a painter would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Contractor for Basement Renovation
I am thinking of finishing our basement to make the space more usable. I think most of the work is pretty basic, but I am looking for someone to give us a hand with ventilating the basement (we don't have windows down there), putting up sheet rock over the stone walls and adding some electrical outlets. I think the remainder we could handle ourselves. Anyone have a recommendation for someone who handles this kind of work?

Chimney Sweep Recommendation
We just had our chimney cleaned this weekend by Steve at Emergency Chimney & Boiler (347-312-2541) and he did a great job. He was fast, helpful, and honest about the condition of our chimney. He also had quite a few available appointments when I called last week. I definitely recommend him if you are looking for chimney cleaning.

Vine Removal Service
Hello All,
Does anyone have a recommendation for someone who can remove the ivy from a building? The ivy is climbing up four stories of our building and is most certainly doing damage to the brownstone (we can see from the few branches we have removed ourselves). This project is beyond cutting the ivy at the roots (especially since they are not in our yard), so ideally we would like to call in someone to help assist with the removal.
Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Thank you all for your input. Geekspice, I would love to hear how the renovation goes when all is done. What is your expected completion date?
Thanks again!

I stopped by the Open House for this place this past weekend and was not impressed with the apt and the asking price. It's barely a 2 bedroom and the garden offered little privacy and needed a great deal of work. It's a nice place, but certainly not worth 1.3.

Supposedly December 31, but it's looking more like Jan 15th right now.

Dear Geekspice,
Did you ever finish up on the basement? If so, please help with a recommendation for a contractor to do the same. We just received a $50K quote from a cement guy to dig out the basement 2 ft (to clear an 8 ft ceiling), underpin the foundation, vapor barrier + pebbles and then pour new slab. Plumbing will be a separate cost (new drains, sump pump, etc.) and no finishing touches included (e.g., electrical, tiles, sheet rock, etc.) Just a "NEW", deeper, unfinished basement. 50K = ouch.

I had challenging kitchen remodel completed by Lino. The building is a pre-war presenting many difficulties. Lino was incredible in completing the work and providing a masterful job on the cabinets, walls, ceilings, floors, and trim mouldings.

Maybe they can have one or two of the many pharmacies on court street.
