interior brickwork / mason ?
Hi, can anyone refer someone that can clean up some interior brickwork and do some repair/replacement of bricks in a couple of fireplaces I'm uncovering?
I'm ideally looking for someone that offers a day rate.
Thanks in advance.

Structural Engineer Rec Please?
Hi, I'm looking for a structural enginner recommendation. I know this is a common request and have combed the archives, but still can't find one other than Robert Sillman (who I have a call into.)
Thanks in advance for any help.

I used TD as well last year for a 3 fam. They were the only bank that seemed to have any interest in touching my deal, and their rates were very good.

That carroll st place is nice, I saw it. The place a few houses down the block from the Carroll Gardens landmark district, what's with the Gowanus label?
Can we agree Gowanus starts at the canal and continues eastward to 4th ave?
Anyway, the house was in move in condition.

RJ, I have a 1 bedroom plus den for rent in Carroll Gardens for $2100 on May 1. It's a sunny full floor unit in a 22x40 building. Please email simplyhousing at gmail . com if you're interested.
Also have a 1100 sq ft duplex with private garden, laundry, recent renovation coming on the market on May 15 for $2800. No fee for either place.
Thanks

Yes, i just got one on my condo from Citibank. It was a long and tedious process, but have the funds and they offer great (variable) rates right now...just under 4%. They pay closing costs, and you don't have to pay back as long as you keep the line open for 3 years.

I'd say this most definitely is carroll gardens, bond street is the bunting line.

Peter Miale at iron gate properties was showing this in 2005. He'd be able to provide some insight if you're serious.

I used Impact Remodeling to add a convenience stair (spiral) from the garden to basement, and to finish the basement. Great quality and a really good/trustworthy guy...i'd go leave them to go to work and not worry about them stealing things/burning house down. My contact was Kevin - 914.588.1806...good luck.

Hi Brooklynite, I used Chris Henry for an alt 1 (duplexed garden to basement), ARA job (new boiler), and to change our C of O (to include a parking spot.) Very reliable and responsive - chris@greenlightexpediting.com.

I used Jabus out of red hook (aka james buscarello i think) to rip up/replace my buckled sidewalk so parks dept could cut a tree root. They were good, got the job done quickly. Then some little bastard named "joe" wrote his name in the new sidewalk with a stick...

I had a moldy smell as well until recently. Turns out water/moisture was getting trapped in the walls from small cracks in the exterior. We redid the facade of the house which solved the smell problem.

I do not think this is too good to be true. It represents the reality of today's market - places that are not on prime blocks and that need lots of work will rot on the market unless priced aggressively, in this case just under that magic 1 million number. This broker will be rewarded with a quick sale, no doubt.

I got our mortgage from TD Bank in 2008 and they got us a fantastic deal at the time. Our mortgage broker's name is Joseph Leffe and is cell phone is: (516) 507-7603. I highly recommend him - in fact , we are using him again to refinance our mortgage since current interest rates are so low. Good luck!

Tony - Does Scott still work there? Just wondering because I would love to say Hi if he is still around.
Thanks!

Scott is running a day care center in new jersey, and misses the mortgage industry, i'm going to pass this over to him, he is going to be very happy to hear that you enjoyed working with him.

If you consider some of the condos up the street at 277 president sold for over 2 mil, pretty good value here. Even if you have to redo some of the finishes. This is one of the nicest blocks in CG, landmark district.
