Free metal radiator covers
As I posted earlier this week, we are getting rid of our 70s metal radiator covers. The sizes cover the radiators plus the knob out to the side on our units. If anyone wants them, please let me know how to contact you. I'd like to get them out of the house tonight, or at least by Saturday. Pick up in Center Slope.

radiator covers
We are having our old 70s metal radiator covers replaced with wooden ones. Anyone know how to dispose of the old ones? Will the sanitation trucks pick up these things with the normal trash?

Sorry for the non-response. Today has been hectic. Looks like I'll be able to get them out on the street tonight by 9pm at the latest. They'll be on the south side of Garfield Place, mid-block, between 8th Ave & PPW.

Okay, I'll measure them tonight and post the sizes tomorrow. I was planning to put them on the curb on Friday night anyway, so if anyone wants them, they can let me know tomorrow.

Thanks! I think we'll try putting them out on the curb the night before and see what happens.

You should post the sizes here. I'm actually looking for some ugly old radiator covers. I would possible come get them.

If they're mostly metal, they're recyclable. Although they would probably get picked up before sanitation even gets there.

I used this great non-profit service today called Rebuilders Source Coop -- a non profit that will pick up usable items from renovations and provide a receipt for tax deduction purposes. They took almost all of our post renovation stuff and saved them from the landfill. 718-742-1111
