Those pictures are RIDICULOUS! I love the background music. I lived on Smith and Warren (closer to Court) a few years ago and safety wasn't an issue there. No sure about being so close to the Gowanus Houses, though.

Hey guys, park slope is a great neighborhood. I actually go to the park, shop in the stores, and eat in the restaurants. I don't know if I would call it one of the dreamiest neighborhoods in the country, though!

Hey everybody - relax. I have friends that live in the first building, and it's not that bad. The interior is nice - they are great for first time home buyers who would not have been able to get into the market otherwise.
I know the Bad News Bears - they're more like the Little Rascals. They are nice kids whose parents were raised on 12th Street, too.

I love the 7th Ave Donut Shop!!!! They have delicious and cheap breakfast and deliver until 3am! By far the best diner in the area!

I've eaten at Pacifico many times since it opened and I have enjoyed every meal! The sangria is tasty (and cheap) and the food is great, too. It's not fine dining, but great for a casual night out with a friend. Luckily, I have never experienced a rat. I gave the ambience 3 stars, only because it's really relaxed place. However, I love all the kitschy furniture!
Thanks, tscola.

Could someone please explain what Section 8 is referring to?

I ate at Barrio about a month ago. The food and drinks were great, although a little pricey. The staff was really nice and attentive. I will def. eat there again! As for Miracle Grill - that place has good food, but the WORST service!!!
Thanks for all your hard work, Gaby and welcome, Lisa!

I overheard a conversation at the dog park this morning - the people were saying the rent increased to $12,000/month! Not sure if this is true, but I thought I would pass the information along. Any ideas on what kind of businesses could afford that rent????

I used to live near Zaytoons and my husband and I ate their many times. The food is always really delicious and the prices are incredible (really cheap!). We usually sit outside because the inside is not so nice. The food is so good that it's not worth getting upset about the service....
Why do you say, "our expectations for new construction in this part of town are pretty darn low"? I live in a new construction building (condo) "in this part of town" and I think that the work is great. Not everyone can afford to buy a condo and then spend an extra $50,000 on renovations....

I went to the Flea last weekend and it was the best!! The vendors were so nice and there was great snacks and vintage clothing (mostly women). I'm sad that I can't go this weekend, too.
