Feel bad for the people who live there and the surrounding
block's. I go to the gym up the block and I never drive because I know how hard it is to find someplace to park on that block.

Umm, i think they were right on the money.
I'm born and raised in Brooklyn and I wouldnt want to get off the train there at night if I could avoid it!
Sure it's an interesting up and coming area, but safe at night?
Far from it.
Especially for some kids from other states plopped down in the middle of one of the toughest neighborhood's in the toughfest city in the country.

Maybe one of the person's that think everybody should be allowed to drink beer outside of their house/home
hollowed out the doll and filled her up with beer.
I first thought it was Giada DeLaurentis in a wig.

I've seen 4 or 5 in a tree on Greenwood ave. and east 4th street. In the spring though, not lately.

Stop Raping the Rain Forest!!
Ipe is not a "Green" or easily sustainable wood as the
Ipe wood importer's are falsely reporting.
it is completely false.
I did some research on it myself cause I saw it featured on a TV show.

You should check out John Palanca over at Design Tech Construction.(718) 369-5828.
He and his Partner have a show on the DIY Network
called Under Construction. a lot of the work featured is done on Brownstones and old homes in The Park Slope Area.
They just moved the show so you'll have to go to DIYnetwork.com to find the new day/time.
I've worked with them before and alway's found them 100%
honest and Dependable.
If you check them out tell them Rich from Ubergeist Design Group Told you about them.
Good Luck.

they have a big in stock collection at lowes.
they will order what they don't have from the brochure.
If you need very flexible, like to go a column or aver an arch you may have to go to dykes lumber.

Mr Champion, Not much room for shuffleboard.
Have to read the crowd as far as the Limbo goes. I tend to wanna hide any stick like object's when the Lava's Flowin!
and every night is ladies night.
The fondation was made with pressure treated 2x6's.
The outlet's hook up to a thick extension cord that I run out from the house only when the bar is being used.
the blue fence is one of my favorite thing's back there too.
It's A nice punch of color on a gray day or between seasons when the flower's aren't in bloom yet.
I'm no tree guy but my neighbor say's it's a red Maple. It's been attracting some colorfull bird's the last few year's but also a lot of pesky squirrel's who just love digging up my flower pots and the lawn as well.

Look's more like a carribean style beach bar than a "Tiki Bar", But if it's got Flaming Rum Drink's not only will I check it out they might need to call the Police to get me to go home!

Yes it is illegal you don't have to go anywhere, just call 311 and make a complaint.
Kepp doing it, get as many of your neighbor's as you can to call also.

You'd think somebody with a username like Lionball's would
just go downstair's open up a can o whoop ass! LOL!!
Take it easy,Just kidding.
Actually, I agree with Lionballs, I wish i could find out
how long the people that are for drinking on their stoop's
have lived in Brooklyn.
Did you live here twenty year's ago or maybe even a little less in some area's. When every body in every building on
all the avenue's in Park Slope was out drinking in front of their house/building/apartment?
How would you like your wives/children to have to walk past that coming off the train everyday? To the woman whose husband should be entitled to a cold one Because it was his property and he was wearing a suit. What about the twenty immigrant construction worker's that rent the space over the deli around the corner, Can they have a couple of Cerveza's on the Fire escape after work? What about multi family dwelling's?
when does it end? why should the police have to make these distinction's?

They can sue if your tree is blocking their sun.
What about a neighbor's ugly addition?

Posted by: richierich at October 22, 2008 1:00 AM in response to A Sexy Behind for 139 Lincoln Place?

I don't find the design all that bad considering what's been going on in other part's of the neighborhood.
The only problem I have is with the Lack of planting's or an actual front yard. This will probably mean the owner intend's to park a car on that left side of the house.
I've seen it in 2 or 3 other house in the neighborhood in the past year. A homeowner on East 3rd street turned his property into a 3 family rental. He paved over the front yard(illegaly) and actually advertised the parking space as coming with the apartment. He's been fined a few times and actually had a neighbor's(lagally parked) car towed from in front of the house. Some Homeowner up the block from me on east 5th cut the curb a few years back put in a double gate and put up a no parking sign. if thats not crazy enough for ya, The man does'nt have a car, and his front yard is so small I'd be suprised if a smart car would fit in there.
