Wanted: Swinging kitchen door
I'm looking for a swinging kitchen door from a Finnish coop in Sunset Park or a similar 1920s/1930s coop building. Dimensions should be 30x82 inches. Would love both the door and the mechanism. If you have one you'd like to get rid of or know where I can find one, please let me know: 718-636-9093.

Are you around today so that my husband could stop by to take a look at it? We'd love to take it off your hands if it will indeed work in our space.

We *think* that might work, cantaffordcarroll. You have the mechanism and the door or just the door? Is it single panel? And how much do you want for it? Mind if we come by to look at it? Maybe this weekend? Thanks!

Thanks, cantaffordcarroll. Definitely let me know, and Bay Ridge is no problem. Here's hoping....

Sunset Park! Sunset Park! Sunset Park! We're in need of a beer garden, and there's plenty of industrial space on the waterfront.

As I was reading the article, I kept thinking, Why not the Sunset Park waterfront? Seems ideal to me--would love a beer garden in Sunset Park, as I currently travel to do my drinking. Makes a lot of sense to me. Gorilla Coffee roasts its beans on 41st Street--why can't Brookyn Brewery brew its beer nearby? Are there zoning regulations that prohibit that kind of industry/business in Sunset Park?

If you don't come up with a door that works, swinging door hardware is available lots of places, including http://www.rejuvenation.com/ and http://houseofantiquehardware.com/

I also have both the door and hardware at my coop in Clinton Hill. Both have layers of paint on them, and I will double check the measurements, but the size seems right.

I measured--it's 30 by 80.5. Let me know if that is of any use.

It's a single panel door, no mechanism. No cost either. (I don't ever plan on using it and had it on my list to call sanitaiton to see whether any special arrangements were needed to chuck it.)

I am not around after work today. If late morning on Sun works, I can give you a call.
