It's a really lovely garden. I like the grass - so much better than the pool.

As Bob said, these doors are original as other homes on that block have the same ones. It is a very nice block - tree-lined with some houses set back a bit more than the usual brownstones. Being close to Flatbush does have some advantages - quick trip to the subway and busy enough to be safe coming home at 3:00 in the a.m.

I had one of the worst meals ever at this restaurant. Our dishes arrived at different times. One person got sick from the food. We were there in the summer on a very hot, humid day and the restaurant had no air conditioning. However, the server was very pleasant.
I've also purchased drapes and curtains at Ikea and they have held up very well. The velvet ones I bought are not lined though; the lace ones I got there cost more to shorten than the amount I paid for them. I have drapes from halfpricdrapes.com which are quite elegant and are lined; they have not faded in the sun either which can happen. Country Curtains is reasonably priced.

Thanks Flatbushrising. I've lived on this block too for many years and think it’s just fine – not iffy at all. I also think this is the best apt. building in the area.
