yeah, no one in the ghetto sits around all day doing nothing and leeching off society, mr. what. did you ever think that many of the young people in williamsburg support themselves with jobs that take place at night, which means they have free time during the day? so much hate.

Does your bitterness ever end, The What? Why don't you get off your ass and "do" something if you're so critical of everyone else.

I think this is like any business dealing. I wouldn't use a broker who wasn't attached at the hip to his/her blackberry--but I also recognize that there are times that the phone will be better. Most people expect instant responses and email is just much better for managing that.

More like "karma" than "schadenfreude" but no one should be cryng a river for this guy.

Go to Google Maps, type in 764 Franklin Avenue, press "search maps" and then select Street View and you can see some people hanging out in front of the deli.

I'm guessing 11 windows then, so maybe only $10k. The parlor floor windows can be $1200 to $1500 a pop and the rest $700 or $800.

you are hosed. expect to shell out $15-20K to sort this one out, depending on the size of your house.

The park will be fine. Maybe it will take longer to finish or there will be less stuff, but the city's not going to let this not happen.

I don't think this would be for me, but it will be pretty interesting to see how it all works out. Hopefully better than that commune on Staten Island where someone got shot!

I've eaten here twice and had the steak both times. Great value. Enjoyed the wine both times as well.

I don't think that's a bad price to rent a place like that, my hunch is that there just aren't a lot of people looking rent something at that price in this neighborhood, whether or not it's a good deal for the space.

I doubt this study will change people's views very much. I think they care more about the quality of life stuff than the price impact anyway.

I am looking to replace all windows front and back on our brownstone. Do we need an architect to get the permit? Or can I get one myself? The back windows are partially visible from the avenue behind us if you look very closely. Do you think we can get away with vinyl in the back. Any suggestions on approved window companies? Thanks!
