Used to live around the corner and miss the hell out of it. The tortilla soup is fantastic.

I have soldiered through and placed an order. I wouldn't call it fantastic. No better or worse than Francesco up the street. And my chicken parm entree was $16-18, thereabouts. Expensive for the quality. May very well be a mob front. One night around the holidays I saw no fewer than a dozen fur coats go in. For much better Italian, walk a few blocks to Fragole.

Viva in Red Hook. Great Mexican food in a city that should have plenty of it, and doesn't.

Have only dined in once, and the service was fine. The food, though, is consistently great. Never had a bad meal.

This might be the best comment thread I've ever seen on coop/condo/house of the day. huzzah.

Not sure about the law, but there's absolutely no relation. Actually, the one on 5th isn't bad, but this new Calexico is fantastic--at least what I sampled from the cart they positioned in front of the store for the festival. Much needed food for this area.

Went to an open house and agree with Snap On. The master bedroom is a decent size but the seconds are generally small. I think the living area is deceptively small, as well. They put three of these units into contract, at lower prices, back in Feb before sub prime became everyone's favorite phrase. Since then, nothing has happened (almost 6 months). I really like this neighborhood, but the price will have to move significantly to get things moving.

Polemicist could probably choose his/her language a little better, but the message that Eastern Parkway is not prime holds true. I lived in 277, was mugged in front of 255 in January, saw another guy get mugged fifty yards towards Franklin several weeks later, and moved out not long after. Buyers should be aware that it's a hot neighborhood for reasons other than real estate prices.
