The inner door is falling off its hinge and doesn't close properly, the outer doors have huge gaps and are not at all secure. We need someone to come along and re-do the hanging and sealing of these doors and secure the double doors so they close tight and sound FLEX DUCT.http://estore.silversheet.net

DUCT WORK normal for a contractor to include some disclaimer to cover them in case there is an obstruction in the street. If the main is on your side of the street (see which side of street has hydrants) the price is less (less digging and less copper.http://estore.silversheet.net/DUCT WORK

Brendan,
Do you have a website or contact info? I am in Bay Ridge and I also want to build an extension into my backyard. My house is 18x50 and so is my yard. I want to build a second floor terrace and have the underneath enclosed for a mudroom/storage area. The neighbors have a second floor deck but have left the underneath open, so I assume I there won't be an issue building into my yard.
I thought I could start by getting estimates from construction companies but after reading this thread it seems I should talk to an archetect first - is that correct?

Paul Bunyon delivers upstate firewood to Brooklyn. You can probably google them.

Family Tree Service. They have wood at about a third of the price of Paul Bunyan and others only known for firewood. Family cuts and trims trees in the area.

Good one, Cobblehiller. Last time I spoke to my mortgage broker, she said they're avoiding Countrywide and IndyMac -- imagine.

I have issues with Countrywide. They owe me more than 10k. I sold a bunch of loans to them on the secondary market and they screwed me and my staff. This happened right before Mozilla took the money and ran. They came up with all types of excuses to not pay us, we finally got fed up and cut our loses and refused to do business with them ever again.
They have a horrible reputation of trying to steal business from their own business chanels as well.

Lowe's sells firewood. You can walk over there and pick it up.

If you can afford to replace it then do so. Aside from the health risk (lead will always leech into your water, whether it kills you or not) a lead main is just a failure waiting to happen.
Mine failed in the middle of winter so I had no water or heat for a while. I think I used Matthew Ruggiero Plumbing to fix it.

Sorry but I'm not doing this for entertainment Adam. I'm sorry some of you feel that way about CW. However, we are now a Bank of America company. I take my career seriously and I work for CW/BOA because they help me service my clients. Everyone knows that CW was the poster child of the falling mortgage market but it was a lot of lenders, realtors, lawyers, and buyers out there to blame. Not just one bank. I understand where you're coming about the cw and enron analogy. But then let's be fair and say that doing business with a mortgage broker is like doing business with a used car salesman. Right now, we do have the best jumbo fixed rates compared to our competitors, Chase and Wells Fargo. Sorry, I don't consider mortgage brokers/middlemen as being a competitor. Mortgage brokers are a dying breed. I've been there and done that. Banks, large banks, are what the future hold. I apologize if I have offended anyone. Adam, when your company shuts down, you can feel free to join BofA. Just let me know. Seriously.
