Kitchen Venting
I am looking for someone who will come and do the duct work for my kitchen range hood. I have not found anyone who can do the work or give me an estimate, I also would like to know if you have to vent all the way at the roof level if you have a 4 story brownstone? What are the codes about this? Most importantly does anyone know anyboby who can do this?

Old Moon River has old doors, they will have to be striped and probably repaired and cut-down. Old Moon River is on Grand in Williamsburg almost to Kent Avenue

Architectural salvage yards are your best bet. Finding one to fit exactly is difficult; however, if it is solid you can cut it down with a good circular saw. Avoid any with rot. Matching the keyholes can be a problem. Custom sized doors will cost you.

We have an architectural salvage business in Albany and we use the local trade school. They repair them in the electrical trades and we compensate them. If you have a local school, you can contact them.

If you can't fix it youself, buy a new lamp.
Or buy an unbroken vintage lamp. they are not rare.

The lamps aren't broken. They're perfect. They just need new wires and sockets.
I've been collecting vintage pottery and lamps for 25 years, since I was 14. I do know what I'm doing! And I'll do what I please with my own money, thank you! What a bizarre post at 10:59.
