Individuals sitting on our stoop
I just purchase a 2 family brownstone in Bedfordstuyvesant. I am having problems keeping a certain set a individuals who hang out daily off my stoop. I have ask them nicely to not sit on my stoop. Two days ago a child throw rocks at our windows. Any suggestions?

I use to live on the coner of Fulton and Washington Ave. I could look out my bedroom window and see this building being built. The neighborhood has changed dramatically and as sad as it may be studio apartments and one bedrooms in the area are going for at least $1000-$1200. The traffic is pretty heavy on Washington Avenue and Fulton Street. Since the construction on Fulton St. began traffic has been a little light. Should the area command such high rents? "NO", but it does and if you want to live in Clinton Hill you have to pay these prices.

Crime down in Bedstuy, great to hear...but I hear gunshots every night. I was recently told by my neighbor that most of the rookies that the 79th precient had patrolling the neighborhood were removed because of budget cuts. On the weekends if they have 5 squad cars to respond to calls about shots being fired just maybe these kids walking around here with guns in their waist wouldn't feel like they are living in the wild, wild, west.
