Contractor Recommendation Pls

Hello - Sorry for such a common question, but I'm looking for a contractor for a relatively straightforward job of building some walls to create bedrooms and closets in a loft space in Ft. Greene. Also want to expand a half bath to a full with a shower

Anyone got a good recommendation for someone who does quality work?

"On or About" Definition

hey! when a real estate contract in NY specifies a closing date of "on or about" -- what is the typical/customary amount of time that provides to set a closing date?

Doesn't anyone want to know which condo or at least the hood? I know I do...

I live on this corner and saw the vehicle post accident - the driver was likely going fast as the windshield sustained a very hard hit and was smashed in a circular pattern. It is extremely common to see people rushing to make a light in Park Slope and the sight lines can be very bad with the incline.

Instead of reading Brownstoner, I think I'll pick up one of these New York Magazines I'm hearing so much about. Seems they have some very interesting articles.

brooklyngreene - i just confirmed that they are 2 different developers (264 http://www.sanctuaryfortgreene.com/home.html vs. 268 http://www.theclassicmodern.com/). and the cherry trees are still there in the back of 268...but yes, would be very interested to know how/why the community gave up the garden space.

I don't think that's a new bldg on the right of the church...it's the old rectory. There is a new bldg on the left of the church, at 268, but that's a different developer.

Hi Biff and everyone on this delightful thread. I am the owner of this apartment and in an effort to clear up any confusion, the only comment I posted was the 2:09 comment about the measurements.

The only way to know if this or any other apartment is worth the money is to come see it. Hope to see you on Saturday from 1-3pm! You too, Biff!

p.s. The apartment comps and appraises just fine.
