It is ugly. How do you clean the windows from the outside, most of them are already filthy.
The balconies serve no purpose at all, except if you want to sit out there and breathe in car fumes and listen to traffic all night.
Makes me love my non trendy cheap quiet hood.

Ugh, just fill the canal in already and call it a day. The canal has been such an eyesore and a nuicense for decades already.

To spend all that money and have a balcony over looking 4th Avenue & Prospect Expressway doesn't seem to good. Car fumes will fill the air, and not to mention the noise.
I saw the layouts and they are the same old (yawn) boring crap. Living room / Dining room with Kitchen cabinets tucked away in the corner. Is this the cheap way out now that all builders seem to be doing? Instead of making a seperate kitchen, seperate Living room, they just make 1 big room and shove everything in it.
oh and another pet peeve, why can't any new construction ever have a window in the bathroom????

One word comes to mind when I pass by The Argyle, ugly.
It is ugly all around, the tenements are much better lookin than it.
The layouts are nothing special either, I feel like I have seen the same 1 bedroom layout on all new buildings, Kitchen - Living room together, then bedroom. BORING. So in actulality it is really 2 rooms for what, 400K.
yeah right, to live on 4th Ave,
Excuse me while I laugh now.

It doesn't hurt anyone to have thier house painted a certain color, but in a historic neighborhood like Park Slope which is so noted for it's brownstones, to have one painted pink is so out of place.
In my opinion, which is probably worthless, I think the house is totally disgusting. It shows absolutely no taste whatsoever. It ruins the whole entire block. It is an eyesore, I feel bad for the neighbors across the street that have to see this horror everyday. This is not the Carribean, it is Brooklyn.

Regarding the skinny building on 4th and Carroll, the 2 parking spots under the building is called "greed"! Why make the lobby a little bigger with big windows and furniture and a nice waiting area, when you can get a few hundred dollars for a parking space. Greed ! Thats is in a nutshel.
That has to be the ugliest I've seen in years.

It is a horrible looking building, doesn't even go with the surrounding buildings. What are these architects thinking, it sticks out like a sore thumb, has the ugliest windows ever, which probably can't be cleaned easily from the outside, so much for a view.
The color, lets not even go there.
No matter what, when the old tenements are taken care of, they look so much better. I'm a little sick of looking at all thse high rise buildings looking like office buildings already.
ugh.
