Need a good internist/gynecologist

I have only lived in Brooklyn for a year. I am not sure if I will move back to Manhattan but that's another subject for another day. I need a really good internist and gynecologist. I saw a new one in Manhattan last week & she sucked. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much. Natalie

the internist told me to eat deli meats and my stomach is a mess. she also prescribed a psychiatric drug of which i had no idea until i researched it. i have a huge stomach problem not a head problem.

my gynecologist turned into a money maker sucker.

i am beginning to hate new york after 21 years.

thank you mrs. limestone for your reference.

WOW! I can't believe the guys comments- I had no idea brownstoner was mostly for real estate - like I said I am new to Brooklyn.

Thank you guest for Dr. Stuart Lewis contact.

As for other guest ? about what is wrong with me - I can't answer that on this forum - the guys who are obviously sick little f.... would have a heyday with that.

I thought people in Manhattan were harsh - I have to say I am really shocked that men, I mean you little boys would want to single me out.

I would like to thank the women who have responded. I really appreciate it.

Natalie here - I have to admit I was naive about Brownstoner - a friend told me it was a blog about Brooklyn. I didn't research Brownstoner because I was sick and thought some kind folks could help me.

I have found through research and many of your suggestions many doctors to call tomorrow.

Just wanted to thank you all very much and as for the guys - we must remember guys don't go to doctors cause they are pussies and so I could not really expect any advice from them. They joke because they are scared.

Props to all the women out there for your kind advice. I feel better already. Thank you so very much.

You are right - I am under a great deal of stress - my mother died a month ago. I was prescribed a benzodiazipene and what pissed me off is the internist did not ask me or tell me she was prescribing a benzo. I know people love their xanax and ativan but I am allergic to benzos. I was angry the internist did not ask me any ?'s. Doctors prescribe drugs like candy - so not cool.

I took medication for my brain when I was divorced and it helped but that was then and I am not big on drugs and anti-depressants always made matters worse. I am not mentally ill and if I was I would be honest about it because I do not report to anyone's moral compass but my own.

As for the guy who admitted he didn't go to doctors - that was a really cool post to read cause most men won't fess up to that. Before my former husband and I went to Africa we had to get shots and he fainted. He had to have pneumonia before he went to see our family doctor and I would go with him cause that's how we rolled.

The "mild abuse" - no problem - many of the doctors you suggested are so good I couldn't get an appt. until August but I do have a couple of appointments set up and I know I have said thank you many times - Italian girls do that. Thank/Apologize - but I feel better about NY because right now I won't see any of my friends - I only write/call and to have strangers care that means a lot to me.

So grazi! Natalie

"Hey guys the sexist remarks are getting boring!"

Sorry Ysabelle but I am finding them very amusing...It is a little sad for the OP IF this is actually a real post. But I think the sophomoric comments are to be just as expected as the comments I would get If I went to WebMD seeking advice on what materials I should use on my roof deck.

Lighten up - its a blog on the internet, not a waiting room for an STD clinic.

This is totally annoying why don't people take this kind of stuff seriously? This woman is new to brooklyn, but has lived in NY for 21 years, and is really sick and she's on a chat room begging for some strangers to tell her what doctor to go to for a very personal lady problem-- and she's feeling poopie because of the deli meat-- what's funny about that?

If this were a house problem, we'd all be arguing about diagnosing it, but since it's a OBGYN problem, we're all just making jokes. Not cool.

OK- What exactly is the problem? What were the drugs that you were prescribed, what neighborhood do you live in, do you rent or own, and what deli meat was that?

Ysabelle, why bother going to the gynecologist your thing doesn't get any use anyway.

Natalieroc, try the psych meds, I think if you work on your mental problems, the stomach ones may go away. Also what kind of deli meat were you eating Kilbasa?
