I went into Glass Shop yesterday morning and absolutely loved it. I live four blocks away and it's not exactly on the way for me in the morning, but I'll definitely change my commute to accomodate a cup of this coffee. No drip is a drag, but La Colombe makes for great espresso. The barista, Francesco, was a real delight, as well. I'm looking out for the backyard space in the summer.

Seems to me that the "striking Manhattan skyline as your backdrop" will be painfully impaired by the tall apartment building down the block and the sliver condo coming up a block away. Just sayin'...

What does the transit workers' union say about this? It seems like they're effectively outsourcing a great deal of middle-class jobs.
