radiator cleaning & painting
We have some ornate old cast iron radiators that we want to have someone clean up and paint with whatever paint works with steam radiators.
Has anyone used someone to do this? Did they do a good job?
Can you share any info on how the radiator is prepared: what is used for stripping paint, then what is used for cleaning surface before the application of primer?
What paint stands up to high heat and then cooling? How many top coats of paint - after primer?
Anything we should NOT do? For instance, not all paint will withstand heat so will blister or peel right away, so they need to use the right one.
