my 1 year lease is up and the landlord wants to extend my lease to a month to month, he also wants me to sign a w-9. Should I be concerned? I'm not too bright when it comes to leases and tax forms...LOL

Dear Geekspice,
Did you ever finish up on the basement? If so, please help with a recommendation for a contractor to do the same. We just received a $50K quote from a cement guy to dig out the basement 2 ft (to clear an 8 ft ceiling), underpin the foundation, vapor barrier + pebbles and then pour new slab. Plumbing will be a separate cost (new drains, sump pump, etc.) and no finishing touches included (e.g., electrical, tiles, sheet rock, etc.) Just a "NEW", deeper, unfinished basement. 50K = ouch.

I had challenging kitchen remodel completed by Lino. The building is a pre-war presenting many difficulties. Lino was incredible in completing the work and providing a masterful job on the cabinets, walls, ceilings, floors, and trim mouldings.

Ace hardware has a 40 pack for 1/2 copper tubing priced at 105-125- you have to go to Ace website and you can ick it up later at a local Ace store- one selection has a R-3.3

I can fix it if you have all the pieces, but I can also create a template, and have my stone fabricator remake it, I would then deliver and install it.
You can check out my website gmcandd.com.
I am now specializing in tile and stone using Schluter waterproof and uncoupling membranes.
If interested, please send pictures.
