Termite damage
We have discovered termite damage and hope that it is localized. But we have to be sure. Seeking recommendations for contractors that will thoroughly investigate the damage, recommend and action an aggressive solution. We have a contract with Terminix and want them to cover the costs of the damage. Any advice on that is appreciated as well. Thanks.

Just wanted to add that I once paid for an "service contract" with a now defunct california-based firm that inspected and treated my place in LA. We paid them over $1600. for the initial treatment and hundreds more for "maintenance."
There was a ton of very old damage that they didn't find/report but should have quite easily (i found it maybe 6 months later) and even after they applied an outdoor treatment for subterranean termites the termites started eating new wood within a few months.
These companies basically suck (and just suck your money too.) - don't use them. Get an honest contractor who can be trusted to really find and then replace all the bad wood. This may cost thousnads and thousands, by the way. Then treat the new wood with boric acid products available on the internet. They are powders you mix with water and spray on the wood. And many are very safe.

I will check out the articles on your web site even though on your home page you feature an article about your litigation against American Express, my employer!
Thanks for the referral to Paul.
