Does the thing that attaches the rail to the wall for stabilization have a name? If so where can i get one?

This blog used to be such a informative and enlightening site when it first started. And now it is littered with blatant sensationalist posts like this one with the sole purpose to inflame. it's sad to see the original creators lose their way.

Leroy is right on both counts - I use Penofin on our Ipe deck about every two years, and it looks great. I also had to order it online, after checking every local hardware store.

They are going to have to scrape the anchorseal off the decking, and then sand. It's going to take some time to do it right.
I seal all of my Ipe decks with Penofin. For those that couldn't find it locally, they sell it at Dykes lumber on 6th street.

I was a nosy neighbor and checked out the 11th street house. It is as turn key as i've seen in the south slope. beautiful inside and great backyard. I do agree it is aggressively priced. high 1.4s, maybe low 1.5s. I'm on that block so selfishly i hope they get asking.
