one odd thing to consider - for the coops at 101 lafayette and 207 ocean parkway, the opening bid price is higher for both buildings than any apartment in the line has sold for, by about 10k, including sales from less than 1 year ago ...(at least from what I can tell from propshark)

horrible food - my wife grew up in miami and what makes the trip to my inlaws worthwhile is the close-to-god deliciousness of cuban food. The worst cuban chain restaurant in miami is better than this greasy, flavorless attempt at cuban food. Please, someone convince the owners of la caretta to open up shop in brooklyn, or even sophie's....

Dear Neighbors,
As some of you may know (I haven't actually talked to any of you, but you know how you people are with your gossip) I am selling my house after 3 years in kensington, hopefully for a massive profit. I would appreciate it if you could please not only clean up after yourselves, but perhaps (in the next week or two) paint your houses to match the palette of the houses in the prospect park historical district?
Also, I noticed a few more things that may affect my ability to profit off the neighborhood:
some of your hubcaps are missing; this is unseemly and won't be tolerated
It seems some of you have the circular florescent lights in your apartments/houses. Please replace them with compact florescent bulbs with 1920's style fixtures
don't be so lax with your child's hygiene, especially on sundays. I have seen more than one child with a runny nose lately
statues of the virgin mary really have no place in a front yard
lastly, some of you look a little tired. Perhaps a facial/massage is in order.
A neighborhood without a tapas/wine bar may be fine for some people, but not for me, so I appreciate your assistance with these matters.

Take it - I don't live on that block or anything, but I'm in the business and basically walk around kensington for a living... If you are really nervous, walk around the hood at night, but there aren't any blocks in the kton that are that bad, really.

Roubini also thinks hedge funds are next to suffer a run [on them], followed by LBO's. If he's right, NYC could be looking at 40-60% down says me.
p.s. I think he's right

anyone notice the article appeared at almost the exact same time the times had another article on the front page about the decline in shipping worldwide due to higher fuel costs? Just sayin...long term vision needed. I think they should allow the big boxes (and negotiate with them as a whole somehow) and strike a deal that they can open the store IF they (as a whole) provide large scale transportation solutions for the area (ferries, light rail, whatever). Thanks for reading!
