I live on this block and I came home from work last night to find this place open for business. I stood outside gaping at yet another real estate office in the neighborhood when a voice behind me says "damn, another one?" I told my fellow Park Sloper that he had just literally voiced the thought in my head, and we muttered something else to each other about it being a waste and then went our separate ways.

Biff, you are right, we care. But if this weren't a real estate office, it would have, if history serves, become another bank atm location. The criticism of Park Slope becoming overly Mahattanized is true I'm afraid. The character of the place is eroded daily.
