Iron Fence
I am trying to find an original or new iron fence that is identical to this one. Does anyone know of an ironworker that makes this specific fence? I've tried Olde Good Things and other antique shops and no one has this.
Thanks-

newsouthsloper,
No, the garlic smell dissapates in a few minutes. The other advantage of this stuff is that, if it doesn't work for you, you can use it as salad dressing[only joking, but I do like the non-toxic nature of this product].

Thanks Bob - I'll give it a shot. Always looking to thwart those evil suckers!

I've tried geraniol (geranium essential oil) which worked pretty well but has to be diffused into the air about an hour before you plan to use the yard or patio. But then again, with the weird warm October weather we've been having, the skeeters have remained hungry and aggressive despite our best efforts. Hopefully the weather will turn "normal" in the next few days and the buggers will die.

Bob, for how long a period is the garlic spray effective? Hours? Days? Weeks?

One night, very very late, unable to sleep and driven to madness by the incessant buzzing and biting, I turned to the internet in desperation of a solution. As a result my home is now a lab for testing the half-dozen different devices that I ordered on that dark night. The best thing I found is called "DynaTrap", available on Amazon, it has an eery ultraviolet light and a fan that sucks them in and dehydrates them without any chemicals or unsavoriness. It's not as cheap as it seems like it should be (maybe $100+), it probably only works well because I'm using it indoors instead of outdoors, and that glowing light takes a while to get used to... but it's much easier to sleep through than a skeeter attack.

One of the possible solutions could be so called mosquito misting systems:

Just if you look for effective equipment that is not using any pesticides, misting system is not for you...
As someone already stated, it is impossible to get rid of mosquitoes if it's only you in the area who tries that.

Has anyone tried Megacatch and if so how well did it work? What about Mosquito Magnet? Or has anyone tried spraying pyrethrum?
