As a fan of Mr Ames for many years, I found it difficult to watch someone on the screen with his name trying to be him albeit in a much subdued persona. Granted I cannot imagine anyone actually acurately replicating Mr Ames behavior anyway.

daveinbedstuy--the kitchen was an abomination....it needed a little jewish lightning to set it right for a do-over

Cobble Hill place is way overpriced for 17' and in desperate need of updating. Hard to justify when a 25'? place on Congress sells for $3.1.

also ate at Enoteca-terrific pizza had the Del Monte and a salad. Service needs some work, but they are trying hard.

it was a joke of epic proportion for a 17 footer. the ad says timeless...because they never renovated. the only new touch the kitchen needed was someone's hand on a detonator.

even half off would be too much.

enough said.

went to open house. its not renovate folks..unless you consider installing new very cheap bathrooms. the kitchen is so terrible it ought to be knocked down. I particularly liked the well worn linoleum covering the entire staircase. I do not think the owner poured a dime into this house since they bought it almost 20 years ago. Honestly, they would be luck to get half and even that is too much considering the amount of true renovation that is necessary. Too bad brokers don't have to live by truth in advertising or this one would be in jail.

Chef is lovely and makes his own bread. Nice back yard, very good food, great service. Its one of the most underrated restaurants in Williamsburg.
