Oil Compan Rec

As an architect, I go OCD on details. I called 6 other companies before I settled on oil for less (www.oilforless.com). I chose Oil for Less because of the level of professionalism and informative service I received from John. he was courteous, knowledgable, patient, diligent and a pleasure to work with. I was skeptical about paying the one time $175 for the service contract but John was patient and helpful in clearly articulating what I would be getting in return. He is by far the most knowldgeable person I have spoken to about heating my building in NY (I called 6 others and have a 4 family bstone in the stuy). I signed up with Oilforless and was linked up to my current oil provider Jennings and Hartwell Fuel Co. My expecations have been far exceeded. They offer competitive rock botom gallon prices...actually... Let me start off with their level of customer service. From Sara (who is the customer service representative who calls you and sets up your appointments)to Mr. Lawrence (who is a master heating genius). The service had just been impeccable. My Oil was a delivered and we discovered that the boiler was not staying on. I called the 24 hour number ( just one day after I signed up) and Mr. Lawrence was in my house within hours. He knows EVERYTHING about boilers and heating. He fixed the problem and got us up and running again. He scheduled my for a thorough cleaning etc etc.. Bottom line is you can't do better than OilforLess and Jenning/Hartwell Fuel Co in NY. So do yourself a favor and call them now! Jennings and Hartwell 7185274697/5007

High-Tech Construction is a wonderful company to work with. They are affordable, talented, reliable and quick. It is owned by a young man Shaiful Hassan who is just a dream to work with, he sticks to his schedules, does no tissue changeorders and will stay there until you are satisfied with his work. I recommend them .. Use them! You wont be disappointed. I am happy to show you the work they have done at my house.

I too am fortunate to live in the 200 block on Hancock Street. I think that area is the next 'it' zone. Unfortunately there is an unwarranted stigma associated with living in Bed Stuy. There is a new movement to rename that area Bedford hills... watch what happens in the next 5 years.... get in now if you can.

Wonderful professional! Great workmanship!!! I just completed work with M and H. Patrick Shaiful Hassan is amazing. I am an architect and recent brown stone homeowner. I hired shaiful to help with my facade and backyard... A lot of contractors I have worked with tend to be lazy. It is not that they cannot do the job, they are just simply lazy and not passionate about what they do. Patrick and his crew at M and H are the complete opposite. they scour for minor cracks to correct. I cannot highly recommended another GC for you backyard pavement work and for your building's facade. Thumbs WAY UP!

anthonyris,

Mr Innocent is probably the best plumber you will ever find in New York AND he works with a licensed plumber on jobs that need filing.

CONTRACTOR RECOMMENDATION
Fernando Alberto Chica is an amazing one of a kind contractor. He is efficient, reasonable, intuitive, customer service oriented and a wonderful man period.

He pays attention to detail and is a perfectinist builder in the truest sense of the word. He is currntly working on my brownstone and as an architect with loads of experience with contractors, I have to admit that he might actually be the best of the best of GC's in Brooklyn. I anticipated being stressed out through out the process and I have to say it has been a pleasurable experience. I will keep you posted.

I am in the process of hiring Mohammed to fully upgrade my brownstone. I have to say that of all the elctrical Contractors we interviewed, he was by far the most diligent and full of good ideas and suggestions. He worked with us on our budget and even though I had to do some arm wringing with my husband to make sure he was selected... I think he might be the best one out there. I'll let you know in about a month or two how the job goes.

Sorry, my door is 24" X 96" it is 5 panel...2 long vertical ones on top, one horizontal one and two short verticals on the bottom

DJL135e54@yahoo.com if anyone wants it.

I also have an exterior front door 36 X 84 with three "tombstone style" glass panes on the top. This is the door that was installed in most brownstones in the 40s or 50s when the double doors were removed. It's in v. good condition

Both are free

What do you need done? If it is a major job, I like K&C Plumbing because they are very prompt and fast. If it is something simple however, you don't want to incur the expense. Please post again.
