At the end of the day, you are the only one truly in the situation and have to make split second decision's based on what is going on at the moment. I think what you decided to do is unique. I am curious to know what your contractor estimated for the total renovation of your property? I am in contract to purchase a brownstone myself and would like to know what expenses I am looking at to renovate.
