STOP BHOD Filmmaker
kingston25@verizon.net is the email for the previous post about a videomaker for Stop BHOD
STOP BHOD needs videomaker
Stop BHOD is a community based group that is committed to prevent the reopening
and
expansion of the Brooklyn House of Detention. The city's plan will cost
$500million of
taxpayer money, a very bad idea particularly now with the city in such bad
financial shape.
Stop BHOD is looking for a volunteer to help make a very short video about this
issue.
http://www.stopbhod.org/ is the website where you can find information.
Please contact Kate at kingston25@... if you have a video recorder and
the ability
to video edit and would be interested in getting involved in this project.

Clearly HOD needs to be torn down and rebuilt - how about studio apartments - The Brooklyn House of Good Intention?

Creating 'grand entrances' with the new plantings is a step in the right direction to improving an ugly streetscape.
How about pulling down the eyesore that is the HOD at the gateway to the new Brooklyn etc. Welcome to Brooklyn ...turn left at the very tall building with barbed wire....

Norman Benjamin used to have a shop on Atlantic bet. Hoyt & Bond. He still does
reupholstering and people think he does a good job. His number is 718 986 6885 (cel?)
Or there's a fellow called Winston who I have a lot of people recommending - he has a tiny storefront next to Nascent Cafe on Bergen at Nevins & 3rd His number may be 718 488 0719...he used to be on Smith & that may be his old number.
