yep horrible acoustics and i would not call it a restaurant so much as a bar with snacks.

wine bars suck how about just a regular bar.

I walk by the Fort Greene sneaker store at least once a day. Unfortunately I've never seen any customers in there.

@Montrose Damon's collection didn't do much for him. He's broke.

we use zipcar a few times a year. no its not really cheap enough to replace owning a used car but the rates actually compare pretty well with renting anywhere in manhattan or brooklyn(aside form at the airports). the locations are way more convenient as well.

One of my favorite pizza places in the whole city.

I've lived in the Clinton Hill Coops for seven years. We've been quite happy. It is rather utilitarian but it's clean, relatively well managed, has nice views, and is a decent value for the neighborhood. I don't know anything about the Griffin.

I'm not sure if it has changed with this new policy but prior to this you could get access to the Pratt library as a non-student for a membership fee. There was one price to use the library and a another higher price to borrow from it.

We're going on 4 months with Citibank. All of our documentation expired and had to be resubmitted. We also had to have a second appraisal because the first expired. They paid for that. I basically call every day now.

Many cops, firemen, and teachers make in excess of $100,000 and have retirement benefits that far excede anything available in the private sector. Real estate prices are one thing but cops, firemen, and teachers are more than fairly compensated.

Japan is a special case. The reason that Japanese housing depreciates is that often the homes are not built to last. Many Japanese prefer to knock down the existing structure and build something new rather than move into something used that requires maintenance.

@eny i guess but most of twitter is just noise. is it really worth it to go through all the trouble to post some url? using url shortners in order to make twitter posts is a rube goldberg use of technology that will look silly in a year.

Posted by: eh at July 27, 2009 12:18 PM in response to BK.LY Launches

there's really no reason to use a url shortener. you can copy, paste, and click on a url thats 1000 characters just as well as one that's 20.

Often the homes purchased in midwood are totally knocked down and then they will build something even larger that takes up any available backyard space.
