I guess it all depends where the 60sf is (kitchen or bath vs living room)and the overall size of the apt..but all things being equal and only a 10k price difference, I'd go with the view hands down.

I'm a big fan of Transcend Construction, they did work for us recently that was super all around (quality, speed, price, etc). They advertise on the forum, but here's their contact info anyhow (7183690996 or www.transcendconstruction.com)

Althought I didn't fall for the marketing, a friend of mine did and I helped paint a couple of rooms. The paint covered very well, but what I didn't like was you have little time to work it. As soon as you roll it on it begins to dry, so you have to keep moving around the room and come back later to touch up any mistakes.

I recommend Transcend Construction, they recently completed some work for us (ktichen/baths) and the work was great. I can't say if they operate or have experience in your nabe, but give them a call to find out. They work fast and have great quality as well.

We recently had a great experience with Transcend Construction. They did 2 baths and a kitchen in our home super fast, and the work was done very well. Would absolutely recommend you give them a shot.

We live in the neighborhood, just finishing up a major project of our two family house -- took the roof off, new central AC, added two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, redid the main floor and finished the basement with a new bathroom. Very happy with our GC Richard of Masterpiece Construction who has done a lot of work in the area on these old homes, including his own. 646-645-2300, tell him Matt recommended.

You should check out John Palanca over at Design Tech Construction.(718) 369-5828.
He and his Partner have a show on the DIY Network
called Under Construction. a lot of the work featured is done on Brownstones and old homes in The Park Slope Area.
They just moved the show so you'll have to go to DIYnetwork.com to find the new day/time.
I've worked with them before and alway's found them 100%
honest and Dependable.
If you check them out tell them Rich from Ubergeist Design Group Told you about them.
Good Luck.

Try Pietro from AllRenovation, he just did a class on renovations at City Tech for do it yourself homeowners. I meet him at the "Anatomy of Brownstone" seminar - he was a speaker. He ended up working on my Brownstone in Windsor Terrace. Very good guy, good workers and excellent customer service. His website is http://www.allrenovation-ny.com or try their offices at 718-351-4099.
Best of Luck,
Adam K.

I heard my tenants talking about the white walls and asked them what color would they want if they had the choice. Surprise of all surprises, they picked a nice shade of beige. So, they bought the paint beforehand and since I had to paint anyway, I used their color. Everyone was happy.

For neutral walls I love cooler tones. Pale grey colors feel fresh and clean and go with anything your renter will want to put in their space. Here is a pale grey room:

This one is a beige and has some warmth to it but not too yellow. It leans cooler toned:

Hi,
I used the Aura- covered well, but weird to paint with. (I went from white to white dove, so coverage was one coat.)
You could also try to BM super spec - it isn't as fancy as aura, but it is a great paint.
I would not suggest the BM mayonnaise color in any paint type. It does not cover very well. I used Milkly Way this weekend- that was only 2 coats (super spec) over primer on a lavendar wall. And it looks great.
good luck with the painting

Transcend construction has done great work for me in the past, and recently did a great job for a friend in Kensington. The kensington work was similar to what you are looking to have done, and the outcome was very positive all around. Have them take you to see prior work to be double sure.
