High quality heavy duty brackets for sale
http://www.knapeandvogt.com/Heavy-Duty_Utility_L-Bracket.html?page=details.653
I bought these heavy duty brackets and it turns out I won't need them. Have used brackets by this company before and they are top notch. They retail for up to $150 plus shipping. Asking $100, but must be sold by Monday, the 14th, so I could negotiate.

Thinking of selling apt -- does FSBO actually work?
Hi, I have a 2 bedroom in Ft. Greene. I'm thinking of trying to sell it FSBO for a couple of reasons. First, I'd rather not fork over the 6% commission, given that my building already has a flip tax. Second, I'd rather not have everyone in my building know I'm selling my apartment -- as they would if a broker were selling the place. Third, I'm not in a rush to sell. Does this sound reasonable? Does anyone ever successfully sell their apartments w/ out a broker?

Wood planks for sale
Hi, I bought four 10 ft (actually 114 inch) planks made of pine. They're beautiful and thick--I think 9.25" deep and 2" thick. However, it seems my grand idea for beautiful bookshelves has been slaughtered by some unreliable plaster walls. I can't hang them. Anyone willing to pay $80 for the 4 planks and is willing to pick them up? I paid $140 total for the planks including delivery.

Hi, they're 300mm. I just checked and the total for 10 brackets plus tax + shipping = $106. So I can negotiate down from $100 a little, but the real savings is in time. You could have the brackets tomorrow!

A co-op would be great in Ft. Greene. I am hoping that a supermarket opens in the ground floor of the Forte. All of the delis around here are really overpriced, it would be nice if they had some competition. Also a good Chinese restaurant. That would be really nice.

The reason I don't want the whole building knowing is just that-- the nosy neighbor problem. But maybe that's stupid and I should get over it. Thanks for the comments. Think I'll give the FSBO a whirl!

Yes, it is nice for the price. And it's about 1400 square feet right? Plus Ft. Greene just keeps getting better and better. I will be interested to see how this pans out.
As a PS -- I am really surprised no one uses nametags here except me. It would be nice to know how many individuals are commenting here.

I live near the S. Oxford Street building and have a few thoughts. The building is great and beautiful, a wonderful location, but there really isn't a market for combined apts in Ft. Greene. If you have a family, you probably want a brownstone or part of one. I went to the apartment open house a few weeks back and it's got great light, and tons of space, but the bedrooms are fairly small. If you can get the same amount of space in a brownstone for $1 million without the $1100 maintenance, I don't see why you'd choose this apt. Frankly, if I were the developer kind, I'd buy this place and separate them into two apts, renting one out or selling it off!

The bedrooms are small -- but bedrooms aren't for entertaining or hanging out, they're for sleeping, and other, um, bed-centric activities.
The place works well for someone who lives alone and wants a separate bedroom for an office, or for a young family who seriously needs a separate bedroom for the kid but can't afford to pay more. Or maybe for parents buying for two siblings.
If the bedrooms each had another ten square feet, you'd be paying an extra 100 grand for the place. Also an extra 100 grand if this were in a building on the west side of Fulton. Anyway, my opinion -- Fulton is much more interesting (and has more conveniences) than DeKalb.
