Brookyn storage recommendations?
Cohabitation is in my near future and combined there is going to be too much stuff in the apt. Anyone have recommended mini-storage in Brooklyn? I'm in Carroll Gardens and would prefer something on my side of Bklyn, gowanus/sunset park/bay ridge.
Cost is the main issue, but convenience/hours/cleanliness/space, too.
any help appreciated!

No fire escape?! Is there some reason this would be legal on a 2-family?

read Sean's great memoir, 1929. No trust fund. Horatio fucking Alger. If you want to exaggerate.

This wasn't an empty lot, it had a little one- or two-story, back-of-the-lot house on it. Strange lot, and conveniently located next to PJ Hanley's parking lot (and now, their outdoor drinking garden/bbq pit/live music venue). The building is better than a lot of new construction, but still a bit bland -- for a steel frame mini-skyscraper, they mucked things up with a faux-traditional red-brick face, when they could have done something modern like the Luquer Street condos that it faces at back. Compared to the real monstrosities on this stretch -- the Bayonne-style houses, the bland new condo building by the subway, and the horrificness of the late-90s building at 4th and court, well it's a great a victory for the people.

The church was pretty charmless, and the congregation was pretty much gone to Long Island. But it had a pretty awesome outbuilding behind it made of plastic 2-liter-coke-bottle crates. And some nice plantings in their garden.

I'm pretty sure that July 28 is next Monday.

anyone used the dubious looking storage place under the F train by the Lowe's? (It kind of horrifies me but it's so close to home!)
thanks

The nice thing about the reno is that they turned an 8-family of narrow railroads into an 8-family with (relatively) expansive living/kitchen rooms, stretching the full width of the apartment. They aren't gigantic, but they feel bigger than a typical 12-foot wide apt. in these kinds of buildings. Good light from the 4-windows-across, too. (I have been in this building.)
