aren't these the owners of the old dry cleaner's on court who got kicked out of their corner location after so many years? Such bad luck.

Do you know where I could get some replacement track, and wheels for my pocket doors?

Shalacha...do you mean to say that the violation would drop out of their system if the inspector doesn't show up in 70 days?

if you want a good down home red sauce neighborhood restaurant, go to Red Rose on Smith Street.

This place is awful. Been in the the hood for many years and never felt welcome here. We stopped by recently with a big group (reservations) and the service was so rude and resentful that I couldn't believe it. Food of course was completely bleh and unimaginative. Skip it.

This is looking really good!

The facade materials look kind of cheezy, but 3 BR apts are a great idea. Definitely Boerum Hill...it usually goes to State St...and up to COurt.

I remember when the agents for that 1st St house told me that the sellers would never even listen to anything under $3M.

Nice building needing a bit of work. Cool staircase..would make a great 1 fam. real problem is the neighbors to the right who look like real slobs.

Keep bulding those rental units. Lets get the citywide vacancy rate up high enough so that the rent control rules die!

Looks good, but someone will have to explain to drivers that you exit the circle from the outside lanes, not the inside lanes.

do you really have to dig up the streets to get additional Electric service in? I though they had some tunneling technique to take care of that.

I second the recommendation for Silvia Benelli! Very crisp work.

Sounds like poor venting. It helps to have a big column of air to get a strong flush.

It's interesting that the Times also ran a piece in the Arts section about LJ Davis who wrote a couple of books about the experience of outsiders moving into this neghborhood in the '70s. One of the books was just reissued with a forward from Jontahan Lethem.

Vinca....So when you went to Gold Street did they remove the violations or was it when an actual inspector was able to visit your house?

Posted by: Shalacha at November 17, 2009 5:27 PM in response to Violation Reissuance Program

I did not visit Gold St. re: violations; my visit concerned another matter. Our violations were removed via our self-certification and inspector's on-premises confirmation. From my vantage point, and considering the timeframe of your refinancing, nothing for you to lose but the travel time—whether setting up an appointment with inspector, or having them clear the books because more than 70 days elapsed without inspection.

I think I will try Gold Street because my 70 days will be the middle of December...and I really will like to get this over and done with. Thanks so much!!
