carpenter for small job

I am looking to find someone to help me design and build a custom bench outside on my terrace. I have a nook that is 2' x 6' and would like to build something like the attached picture. Storage is a must.

Perhaps you would like to work on this!?!? I don't have a lot of money but could offer a barter of photography or a website in return!

Look forward to hearing from you.

My favorite display of Pumpkins in Brooklyn! They actually get better over time, here are some from 2006 (you will need to scroll down)

maybe this is why the "affordable" apts are not selling -

Sales Price Studio (10)
$348,480 – $382,272

Approximate
Minimum Income *
$73,510 – $104,881

Maximum Income
$138,255.00

does this mean I can get section 8?

Behind that garbage of a storefront construction is a very nice store front with details and all! The wood was unfinished when I caught it open, but looked very nice, old school style. The guy I spoke with wasn't sure what style of food would be served. He hinted at Pizza or Middle Eastern or Soul Food. Inside there was a grill area and a serving area, not much seating.

Maybe they'll have Jerk Chicken Pitza. hmmm

Back in 98, I knew someone that lived in the building. It was a sought after apartment in the hood - across from the burning waterfront. I have a vague memory that the owner - or the person that rented the apts - was also an owner of a local cafe. But it's been a long time and I could be confusing it. wish i could buy it!

There is a tile store up on 116th in Manhattan that I found matching tile to mine from 1940... Florida Tile. Check the back of your tile and see if there is any info. Good luck!

why do i boo hiss??? HOW LONG has the Toy Factory building been there? How long have those windows been there? Let's see.... the building has been in use since 1929, hmmm I don't know, maybe when they tore down the buildings on Myrtle and designed the new "Avalon" they could of considered the existing buildings in the plan- check out the footprint of the building vs. the lot and you will notice that they are using only a portion of the footprint to maximize the height of the building. The building could of been placed anywhere on that plot. The Toy Factory was an initial pioneer in that neighborhood proving that Myrtle Ave and Tillary were viable areas. HELLO!

I just find it very sad, we are trying to improve the neighborhood but we let these scum of developers come in and ruin the neighboring existing buildings.

BOO HISS

I live in a studio in these buildings, YES, G is a studio. They are still decent size studios and there are different options for these. From what I can tell, the dining room has been enclosed to make the bedroom which makes the place feel very small. Mine was left open with a moveable wall and I love it. My neighbor has hers enclosed but got rid of the middle storage room off the kitchen, which is also nice! A lot of the apartments are getting refurb now, it will be interesting to see what happens to the $$$. =)

i'd say it's the 11th floor. It's view is better, it's bigger, it's finished! The 12th floor apartment is a studio overlooking the security booth.

I wish they would take a look at the neighborhood and scale it down. So big. Different aesthetic. Huge. etc. wah.

oh and i forgot to say - I spoke with a few of the vendors of the booths, they were not convinced it was the last year, that they would probably be back next year. We shall see...

I was out in Coney yesterday for the grand finale. It was PACKED - but no one seemed concerned that it was the last day. Even the protest with Rev Billy was quiet other then reporters. Everyone was walking out in "the summer of hope" shirts that were donated by Thor Equities themselves. ugh. i found it sad. Here are some pics.
