Plaster Ceiling cracks
we bought a frame house about a year ago and in the past few months i've noticed a bunch of new cracks in the ceilings in the parlor floor. we raised the roof on the top floor by a few feet and I'm wondering if that could be triggering these changes. The construction was done with permit and engineer etc. If so -- any suggestions on what to do? If this is not the cause, any ideas on whether this is a normal "settling" issue for an old house? I'm fine with that, but it seems that there are an awful lot of cracks for such a short time. Any ideas/suggestions/insights welcome. Thanks!
