I was at the auction, and view the house. it's very small and need full renovation of at least $300K. it's too small for rentals. I was ready to pay $400k but 2 buyers pushing each other higher and higher.

BS, take actions and don't "waste" time complaining on the brownstoner.Dreams are good onlt if we follow with actions, otherwise this will be another pipe-dream posting.

Fish and Sip has great coffee and food. The location is great, close to 5th Av resturants, the Atlantic Mall and the subway.

The ambulance corps nearby is not fun but I like the house and the location.

Every business owner should go and learn from Guss, he's the master of client relationship, always smile. Without the owner personality, this place woould not survive even 1 day.
The place and decor is so old but the staff and owners always smile and go around with freebees of cockies & fruits.

I love Outpost and wish there were more options around Fulton. I also love to go for a sugar-shot to the newly open Desserts By Michael Allen.
THE WHAT try being more positive....

"This all raises the question of why a corridor with limited public transport thrives while Fulton street with its copious amounts of public transportation languishes"

Fulton Street is not a real shopping strip! it has too many vacant/undevelop lots, triangle & parks, the ballparkhas vacant/shell buildings, etc, we need more development along Fulton to amke it a real shopping strip. I wouldn't count much on the BID to change it.

At least the "club" next door was closed when a new owner purchased 14 Putnam, the newly installed store-front is one step forward in changing this corner. let's hope the down economy won't stop progress

I hope we are getting a new resturant as this area is underserved, no food options in this area of Clinton Hill. I'm sure there's enough $$ to be made for good retailers.

"There is a great opportunity to purchase real estate today," Wendy Silverstein, the executive vice president of capital markets at Vornado Realty Trust, said at the conference. "Unfortunately, if you buy property today, it will probably be cheaper tomorrow."
Any other BS by RE agents are worthless.
I'm ready to buy them all at 50% discount

Greene Av is such a nice block. It's about time this property will get an owner who care about the hood. The corner of Greene & Bedford is finally nicer with new retail. Change is on the way.......YES WE CAN!

Finally!!!! Fulton retail is long overdue, not sure why there's no eastablishments on Fulton. Finally there a new Bakery on Fulton off the corner of Grand Av. Fulton has everything in place, the subway, foot traffic and should be the center of Clinton Hill.

Brooklyn is STRONG but suffering as the rest of the country. The credit freeze will impact short-term. Consider getting back to the market in 9 months, by then prices will drop enough to enable new investors to make money in the long term.

Creme Brulee!!!! cool addition to this section of Fulton. We need more retail options in underserved Clinton Hill. This area is about to turn a major cornerstone.
