Intercom System/Buzzer
I'm having trouble diagnosing my buzzer problem. I have a PK-543A system, which is functioning properly in every way except that the "Buzz" is extremely low. I have tried both different styles of buzzing available (Buzz 1 and Buzz 2).
The transformer is working correctly, everything else on the system (door release, talk, listen, etc...), but no matter the tone volume adjustment, the buzz in the apartment is very low. I'm thinking of replacing the intercom in the apartment (an IR204).
Help?

This is an above-average Brooklyn pizzeria. No, it is not brick-oven, and no, it does not offer wacky whole pizzas with exotic ingredients. But it is an authentic, unpretentious, REAL place. The owner (a Sicilian himself) can also frequently be found playing brioche with friends in the back, a nice throw back to when actual people lived and worked in the neighborhood.
Get an expediter or other other experienced agent; will make the process smoother. Most of the time, they just want to make this stuff go away as badly as you do.
Well, maybe not AS badly.

Contacted Antonio, came over, was quick, fixed the problem, charged a reasonable rate and I would not be more satisfied. For others out there, his e-mail is aglocksmith (at) mac (dot) com

Subway tiles too white. I just did the same Ikea cabinets you describe, and went with a gray/blue italian glass tile. Very expensive, but it's subtle enough that it doesn't overpower the countertop.

Dudes - hate to break it to you, the Beasties got their start in Manhattan, but they're straight outta Howard Beach, Queens.

It's actually Bay Ridge that was called Yellow Hook, I think for the yellow clay ground. The name was changed in the 1800's because of fears that people would associate the area with Yellow Fever.
There is still a bar in Bay Ridge called Yellow Hook.
