Artist Space Needed (Raw Space or Bldg 4000+sqft)
I have the fine honor of searching for a home/ workspace for a fine group of New York artists. However, despite my unwavering efforts, I cannot discover all the lofty spaces and unique and interesting buildings that pepper this fine borough. So I am enlisting you, the enlightened public, in assisting me in finding a suitable space and, in so doing, bring vitality and zest to an otherwise mistreated building or neglected space. This space will be a workshop for installation artist, sculptors, designers, painters, illustrators and sundry genres. As this space will serve as garden of creativity, so shall the building/ space possess some degree of architectural integrity or an iota of latent charm. While not focused on residential space, the space/ building ought to have enough ceiling height for working on large installations and enough work space that a small group of, say, 6 can comfortably collaborate on projects without clashing elbows. The space or building ought to have at least 3500 square feet and ceiling height ought to be no less than 13 feet. The property can be a warehouse, mix-use building or raw, live/work loft space. I am sure you have passed that property many a times thinking “if only I had the resources,” or “this would be a great space for…”
If you have a space in mind or the next time you come across a property as such, I beg you not hesitate to bring it to our attention. We can be reached at 212.991.8404 (call or text message) or at gotham_greatest@yahoo.com.
