Although their options aren't in abundance as Manhattan, they will definitely have choices. The Brooklyn Touristm has a list of lodging at: http://www.visitbrooklyn.org/lodging.html

As far as what's safe, the majority of them are...the Holiday Inn Express is a newbie as well as La Jolie in Williamsburg.

If your guests need help with Brooklyn lodging, bookings and entertainment itineraries, they can check out: http://www.allaboutbrooklyn.com/brooklyndayout.htm

Hope this helps!

you can also check out the website Brooklyn Based which has a "fix it list" of Brooklyn vendors whose clients have been very satisfied with their services. The list is at: http://brooklynbased.net/everything/the-fix-it-list/

You can also try Angie's List at: http://www.angieslist.com/AngiesList/

It requires a minimal fee subscription, but you can find any type of vendor in any state and review the ratings and reviews provided by their clients.

hideous site, cheap lowlife...these are sooo far from the type of person I am and it's very sad to hear these remarks, especially when you don't know me...it only reflects who you really are. It kills me that adults, professionals, etc are lashing out and leaving unneccessary remarks...you all only had negative things to say an not one person had anything tactfully positive to say. Thanks guest for the photo comment!

You see, I have twice emailed brownstoner to attempt advertising and I have yet to receive a response. If anyone can help me out there, I'd really appreciate it!

And Ysabelle...I've read several of your responses....which really reflect low life!

But anyway, I won't feed into all this negativity....be well and I apologize for offending those who wrote feasible responses.

I have accepted responsibility 'guest' and thank you for your tactful response.

I really was just shocked at some the horrid and unneccessary responses...and I did apologize for offending people.

It really just amazed me at how it appears some individuals are so very angry with everything in their world and are just waiting to lash out at people. And I'm not only speaking about my just my post...I'm speaking about other responses I've read to other posts.

I'm so all about positivity....and a lot of people in these forums are not!

Thank you all so much for your help and suggestions. I will pass them all along to her.

I know the following is a ridiculous question but I promised to ask. Does anyone have any suggestions for a decent hotel in Manhattan that is not overpriced?

Thanks again.

I think the best thing to do is check tripadvisor.com. It's a great resource and people really go all out with reviews and candid traveler photographs. There are a number of budget hotels in Manhattan that are listed on tripadvisor.com

The Hotel Belleclaire on the Upper West Side sometimes has good deals when they're not too crowded.

I used this service for vacation sublets and it turned out great. www.Harmonyc.com. They are a service representing apartment sublets for short term. I got an apartment for a week for relatives for $750 on the upper east side. They loved it, especially the cost.
