Well, I think Shillstoner kind of has a point. Brownstoner tends to favorably cover houses related to this specific BHS broker (as someone pointed out with the Lefferts Place HOTD). Why is this sale, for $500K less than asking, so interesting that it's featured as though it were a coup for the market?

Sorry, brownstoner, but this house STARTED at $3.25 million in February (not $3.1).

Yes, this house has been on the market for what seems like forever. It started out well over $4 million. It was also an Open House Pick last year:

That driveway is shared with the house on the right. Isn't that a pain in the ass?

I was going to post this link on the Forum. It's a discussion about psf costs to gut reno a townhouse. It seems there are wild price variations depending on where in NYC you are renovating. It's crazy:

$2.5 million for a short, ugly, generic house on the wrong side of Flatbush? No frickin' way. You people are all high today. Seems that the fancy staging and interior design is really working...

118 Willow was first listed last year with BHS for $8 million. Elliman (and the broker/owner) took it back in January 2008 and started it out at $7.995 before reducing it to its current price of $7.3 million.

13 Cranberry too started out at $8 million in January before being reduced in April. It's also available for rent at $25K.
The owner is a fashion photographer or something.

Yes, this is a fact. Why is a blog post/anecdote being referenced as a source when it's been all over the papers?
