North and South are both going to be getting a lot worse before they get better as budget cuts hit the police force. Batten down the hatches!

Have any of you guys even been inside the Oro? I checked it out (just for kicks--I'm weird like that) and thought it was pretty nice. I know that doesn't address the buy vs rent issue, just ontheparkway's last comment

"we're not optimistic that the seller will be able to achieve the current asking price of $2,995,000"

understatement of the year, brownie!

I'm interested to see the interiors. It looks like it could be just as nice (or nicer) than something like be@schermerhorn.

Looks pretty nice to me. And you don't have to worry much about ever losing your views, i would think.

It's definitely started, but it's still in the denial phase where buyers haven't come around to the fact they will have to lower prices and sellers are skittish about catching a falling knife.

13 SRO tenants? Price should have been $5,000 not $500,000!

a certain amount of rowdiness is just normal hormonal stuff; beyond that, it's called bad parenting.

If it's clearly marked, it sound fine to me; if it's not, then this is total BS.

Food is delish--especially since they started using only local, organic meat--and the atmosphere is great in both locations. No surprise there given that Marlow and Diner are both pitch-perfect.

Why is Empire just sitting there? That has to be a hugely valuable piece of property. What's the hold-up?

THis is one of my three favorite restaurants in Wburg. Burger's obviously awesome and love the ribs too. Not too expensive. Good crowd. Would recommend it to anyone.

how tall are those ceilings?

It doesn't matter if you find someone willing to pay this price cuz a bank will never make a loan based on it.
