Thanks. I wasn't meaning to knock it. The absence just jumped off the screen at me.

I think this is a neat idea but was struck by the absence of any men or any African Americans in those photos. Were there any of either demographic on hand?

2 brs for $459,000 is pretty cheap, even in this market.

well done!

Speech was great, but the film of the African American people crying was what really got me. Powerful stuff.

It looks like it's really coming together nicely. Congratulations.

Smith, Court, 5th Ave and 7th Ave are all pretty wonderful examples of small business flourishing.

Did anyone expect anything else? It's not like open house traffic was going to rise!

I guess it's a slippery slope, but doesn't the board know it's sacrilege to question anything to do with 9/11?

I try to console myself with the fact that there's not a lot of big wall street money in places like Fort Greene and Clinton Hill but everything's so interconnected I'm not sure it will matter.

Best meal i've had in Brooklyn. Our table of 6 shared a dozen or so dishes, almost all of which were top-notch. I can't wait to go back.

Hey Benson, you dope, that was a quote from the article!

I'm generally not a fan of new condos but these look really, really nice. Who's the architect?

Bed Stuy really needs a new salon? Hard to believe.

There's definitely an increasingly diverse group of artists and creative professionals in the hood. Let's hope the economic downturn doesn't bring enough quality of life setbacks in the area to drive them away.

"The Manhattan office market is sinking inexorably, not like a stone but maybe like a bar of soap that don’t float." I assume this was written pre-Lehman collapse!

Interesting that he thinks the whole drag on the market from Wall Street will be played out by then. Are most of the firings done already?

Hopefully they'll get the same kind of bands that play at Mercury Lounge in Manhattan.

I think it'll go for around $1.4 mil. This ask is definitely too high right now.

It's naive to think that the city's going to give s#!+ about these people that it views as a nuisance to begin with. They want you to go.

One polician was noticeably absent: Bill de Blasio. Where does our future Borough President stand on this? I'd really like to know.

not my cup of tea design-wise but i have no beef with it. i hope it will sell though because it does provide some much needed family-szied apartments in the area.

How's the guy supposed to build affordable housing if there are no bonds and the market-rate segment, which ultimately subsidizes the affordable, is crapping out? FUREE wants him to just suck it up and spend his money stupidly?

Some parents will buy this for their darling 20-something child just getting a start in the world. No great shakes bu it seems priced fine to me.

I totally disagree Left Hook. Those other places don't cover brooklyn very well. plus the people who get quoted in zagats aren't foodies either, just average joes who fill out the survey.

This will be a lay-up when LPC finally gets around to it. So it's really a matter of "when" and not "if". Don't know where those 50 buildings went though.
