Are the people's names really John Jelly and Jessica Jelly? If so, that is truly unfortunate.

After nine years in the Slope, I moved to Windsor Terrace and love it. But I also had a bedroom that was on Seventh Avenue outside the bus stop, so the newfound peace is glorious.

I remember before Brooklyn Burger Bar opened, they were promising "awesome burgers and fries, and legendary shakes, and a gourmet Kobe burger!" And that place serves shit on a plate.
Proof will be in the pudding (or brining, in this case)

Bar 4 on 15th and 7th used to be gaygay, but no more. Isn't it gay friendly still, or is it too far south slope?

What area in Gravesend is this defined by? Or more to the point, will my folks on Bedford and R be able to cash out to someone in this population?

$12 for a rotisserie chicken, I'll pass.
I'm sure Billy will be standing out front being annoying as usual.

Rocknrope wrote a review about Cafe Steinhof on February 24, 2009 3:48 PM
I've been eating here since it opened years ago, and while I miss Max and Moritz, the owner's other, more formal restaurant that was where Anthony's is now, Steinhof's is always a reliable, good and well-priced meal.
I'm pretty boring when it comes to ordering, so I can only speak to the tomato soup, ham and brie plate, meatloaf sandwich, chicken paprika, goulash, and wiener schnitzel, all of which are great. In the dozens of times I've eaten there, I only had one bad experience, and this was late on a saturday, and they seemed to have some issue with the kitchen that night, as in someone didn't show up for a shift. There is one waiter who can be a prick sometimes, the guy with longish black hair and smarmy demeanor. He really pissed me off once by saying "Look, I'm really busy, so don't call me over if you don't know what you want." I guess that was the second bad experience I've had there.
For those of you who ride the 5 Boro Bike Tour, do yourself a favor and exit off the expressway right by Costco, and ride up to Cafe Steinhof for lunch. Helluva lot better than dealing with Staten Island.
And Babs, racial discrimination, in that area of the Slope? You've got to be joking. Maybe your bf shouldn't be such a beer snob and drink the beer he ordered and was opened for him before he cries wolf.
